Accelerating the transition to a zero-carbon society in the West of England area
The most recent IPCC Report on Climate Change has galvanised action, from Extinction Rebellion to the Youth Climate Alliance. Our speaker for this event is Dr Jo House, Reader in Environmental Science and Policy at Bristol University. Jo is one of the lead authors of the IPCC Reports. She says: My research is on land and climate interactions, including emissions of carbon dioxide from land use change (e.g. deforestation), climate mitigation potential from the land (e.g. afforestation, bioenergy), and implications of science for policy.
There will be plenty of time for questions. The talk begins at 7pm.
