Accelerating the transition to a zero-carbon society in the West of England area
The first of a series of events exploring the range of personal action on climate change that is possible, how much it counts, and how to talk to other people about it. We’d love you to come along, and then go run your own event!
We have less than ten years to stop burning fossil fuels. The survival of life on earth hangs in the balance. Climate awareness has recently reached unprecedented levels, but it’s all too easy, and all too often unavoidable, for it to be minimal in daily life. Can your actions have an effect? And what actions are effective? And what if these aren’t possible for you? And if you are doing them, what about everyone else? This event explores the range of personal action that is possible, and how to talk to other people about it.
This event is the first of many. You are invited to bring your feelings and ideas, to share and to learn, and then go run another event like this yourself. You don’t need to have engaged with climate change to come along. The event is free but booking is essential as spaces are limited. Hot drinks and snacks will be provided for donation.
