Lucy and I just had a great afternoon at Up Our Street’s Festival of Solutions event in Easton Community Centre in Bristol. We had some letters people could write to their MPs, and postcards for people to share their ideas for how the West of England could be zero carbon in the future.

The best bit was meeting lots of people with great skills and ideas, who were inspired by what we were doing and took postcards away to share with their groups. I’ve come home with lots of ideas for developing science communication; working with artists; running vision-creation workshops with different community groups; and a campaign idea for getting the railways to finish what they started and electrify the railway through Easton, because the increase in diesel trains is causing high levels of air pollution in an already polluted area.
